well my little brother convinced my dad we needed another pet... so they brought home a bearded dragon (i think) yesterday! neat lizard, though all it really does is sit around, burrow in its cage, sleep, and do pushups.... if we gave it a computer it'd probably be a lot like some people here ;). lol!

Believe it or not, bearded dragons are supposed to be one of the best "pet" lizards. If you handle them alot when they are young and get them used to it, they make great reptile buddies. If treated/raised well they are actually quite sociable.
On the topic of reptiles, I've had my desert tortoise going on 17 years. She knows she gets fed and watered everyday and even comes out around the same time each day waiting for someone to feed her. She also likes to have her chin rubbed.
By the way, ac427cpe, which shop did ya get him from?

well, we haven't named it yet... and i'm really not sure where it's from. they were out in scottsdale most of that day, so i'm assuming from somewhere up there. and i'm pretty sure the reasoning behind not saying place and price is so my mom won't take it back. lol. oh yeah, and OZ the lizard is still pretty young so it's only like 6"
here are a couple more pics... no video yet but it was chasing crickets a few min ago...

Yeah, its a dragon, but not a bearded dragon. Unless there's a Non-Australian kind. The scales give him away. :) Bearded dragons are more like leather.
Am I wrong? Is there a non-Australian bearded dragon people??

as was my intent, please refer to post #20.
AC, name it Puff. Puff The Bearded, or Non-Bearded, Australian or Not, Dragon.
or name it Sobe, or Reptar or Thor.
you like mr2's? name that lil sucker Yota. or Mr. Yota. i dunno those kinda suck. but you prolly see where i'm goin'.
do they display emotions in any way? like, do they act happy or give any sign of their temperment? I had an Anole that when it was happy would turn green and would be brown when it was pissed off. if you held it in your hand with just her head sticking out and let it lick a piece of banana she'd get bright green. she also liked when you took a spray bottle full of water and spray a mist in the air and let it fall on her.
i want one now too. i think i'm gonna visit the pet store one day soon. i always wanted a tiger gecko or 2, they always look like they're smiling.
