if you have a bose equipped 3.5 maxima look on the door of your tape deck. if you have the numbers CP(or CS)070 then your Left side speakers may cut out due to a faulty wire in the deck and if you have CR070- then your Cd player may cut out. I recently fell victim to the left side speakers shittin out on me. i could tell because i have the signal wire for my subs wired into the left speaker signal in the wiring harness so when the left speakers shit out the subs did too. Nissan takes it Monday to "diagnose" what i already told them and of course they won't order the part til monday so my car is gonna be pissin me off for the next week or so. just thought you guys should know.

Same thing happened to me last year, and I told them that it was the HU that causes the problem (one of the wires is at a 90 degree angle and jumps in and out) but they insisted on ordering all new speakers first so that they didn't have to pay for the $2000 HU. Sucks for them, cause they had to replace it anyways, and I got new speakers out of it.

MAKE SURE you bring with a copy of the TSB when you go down there so that you don't get jerked around like I did. What I did after they put the speakers in was get a tech in the car with me, and show him that just the left side only would cut out.

The first thing I would do is get rid of the Bose...

those asswipes at nissan said the most they can do for me is to exchange it for a refurbished one for $250 and install. everyone else i talked to said it was done under warranty at no charge. i even brought those bum-weasles a copy of the TSB. what should i do? i don't want to pay for this but no beats is killin me.

What is a TSB? Will Nissan fix the CD player issue under a recall fix? The car is no longer under warranty.

a TSB is a technical service bulletin. when a problem becomes common enough in a car they issue one. i think it just describes what the problem is and how the mechanic should remedy it so they don't have to continually diagnose the same problem.

as for your problem, i don't think nissan will do anything for ya. i had to pay out of pocket to get mine fixed. it's been fine ever since I had it repaired though.
