97 Taurus rear chassis unit

Where would I find a diagram or tech data on the rear chassis unit (radio and amplifier) of a 97 Taurus. I would like to add a subwoofer using an additional amplifier. Can this be done? Can I replace or bypass only the amp section? Many questions, few answer.
