Recently I've been having a terrible time with my 97 taurus lx and a suspension issue that just won't go away... Here are the symptoms:
1. Clunk/Knock on the Passenger side front accompanied by a the tire wobbling.
2. Same noise on the driver's rear, feels like a wobble too.
3. On Driver's front, when turning the steering wheel I will hear 1 or 2 kind of brief clicks/clunks.
4. Steering wheel shakes a little around high speed (55^) turns.
Here's what's been replaced, not sure if any of it is defective or not:
4x Struts
4x Strut Mounts
4x Sway Bar Link Pins
2x Axleshafts
2x Balljoints
I've had it checked out many times with the conclusion that "everything's tight, it's nothing to worry about" but I'm still worrying.
Any ideas? It's really getting annoying.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Well, you've already replaced most of the parts that are usually the problem with the symptoms you have. My next step would be to rotate the tires front to rear. I suspect a bad tire (or two).
For the clunking, have the motor mounts, transmission mount, and subframe bushings checked.

Joe,
My aunt had a car with similar symptoms. She had to replace the universal/CV joints on the side that was giving her the trouble. Apparently this is caused by a crack (even a hairline one) in the casting. Not sure what happens from there except that it creates the very thing you're describing!
Hope this helps!
