1994 Regal CD Unit

Does anyone know if CD units are still available? Crutchfield shows only CD/receivers that are mounted where the factory cassette is located and stick out from the dash (1 9/16"). Not to mention the hole left in the dash from the factory radio display unit. I am concerned that a used one may not play CD-R's besides being 10 years old.

Thanks,
Ray R.

I have a CD Player from a 91 park ave in my 94 park ave, and It's always played CD-R's for me. Anyhow, get a stock unit, check ebay.

i have a 94 regal that i have replaced the unit with a new head unit in the lower and it looks fine if you the mounting kit. you don't have to take out the top radio unit, it just doesn't light up anymore.

Thanks for your input. I installed an aftermarket with the kit. I wanted a factory unit but a higher authority, 17 year old daughter, overruled me. It does look fine.

Thanks
