HI im buying another amp, i already have a 4 channel amp. Do i have to run the that wire from the battery to the amp, or can i just connect a wire from the amp i already have into the new one? I want to add extra power to my 12" sub!

You have a 4 channel powering a 12...
Anyhow... You will want to get a thing called a distrobution block.

you will run the wire from the battery to the distribution block and then run 2 wires from the distribution block to the amps 1 wire for each amp.
your locale shop should have them and be Abel to tell you just how to hock it up.
what size wires do you have now??
(power and ground)

If it is 8 guage then just get a 4 guage to go from the battery to the distribution block and use the 8 guage from the distribution block to the amps....put the distribution block as close to the amps as you can too....

Wait, so you have a 4ch powering your sub now, and you want to add another amp to power it even more?
You can only have one amp powering a sub, you absolutely cannot hook 2 amps to a single sub to "give it more power" (other than attaching 2 identical amps to each coil on a DVC, but you're not doing that here so it doesn't matter).

I think I would use the 4/ch amp for the other speakers and get a bigger amp for your subs. You might want to put speakers in the front as well
