wiring diagram.....

Anyone have a detailed wiring diagram for a 90 cherokee.......had a problem with neutral safety switch -no backup lights, could jump across terminals on plug connector and they would work, son did something to it though....now they won't work, even jumping terminal, hooked up a known, good neut. safety switch, not to trans, but to connector plug, still no lights...fuse is good....need diagram to trace wires...think there may be a short.

just go out and get youself the chilton/hanes manual. or the jeep service manual, its go it in there

I would recommend removing and cleaning the Neutral Safety Switch. There's a couple of other posts on the board with links detailing how to do it. It's not that big of a deal. Takes 30-45 minutes tops.

Thanks for the input....have already replaced NSS.....and have Chilton manual(s)....really need factory service manuals to get a complete diagram......but prob. was fixed today.....turns out that the trans. fuse(7.5amp) was bad......so much for the backup lights working off the turn signal fuse....will button it all up in the AM...and off to state vehicle insp....better pass this time or there'll be a BBQ at my house....menu will consist of JEEP!!!......lol.
