One Last Problem

after i drive my car for awhile and it gets warmed up the idel bounces(up and down) between 1k and 2.5k. Does anyone know whats wrong.

Idle surge.

This could be caused by numerous factors, however.

99% of the time. Plugs, wires, fuel filter, do not have any thing to do with Idle Surge :)
Try cleaning the TB to start off with. And search I posted a link a few times...

not true,it happened to me,but mine jumped just a little and it turned out to be something with one of the plugs,so i guess i must be in the 1% huh

Interesting. Ok well I will say it is very unlikely. You got very lucky that it went away after you changed the plugs:). A lot of people have to change a number of things to get rid of it, and sometimes that is not enough. My local mitsu dealer does not even know why. Idle Surge SUCKS! :(

lol,thank god it worked,only one plug was gone so my engine wanted to die but it still had the other three,so it would jump from like all the way down to 800-1200, my local guy told me to try the plugs for the hell of it,and like i said thank god it worked
