It goes really well with my 102 HP SOHC D15B. The guy who had the car before me must have been killing all those Corvettes and Supras with it. Did I mention how much better my car handles with the DC Sports stickers on my windows?? It's amazing!


The sad part is, that story is true. When I turn, I use a flashlight and put my arm out and turn the flash light on and off.

I hate my Rice Muffler with a passion. When I'm stuck in traffic on the highway, I feel so embaressed. If I hadn't spend $3000 to fix up this piece of shit I would have sold it. And I know I'll sell it so I don't really wanna spend any more money on it - like getting a new muffler.

:iagree: It doesn't take alot to change the acoustics on a the exhaust tip. Just don't bash your thumbs if you do it, tho. Thumbs are your friend. :bigthumb:

Mine pisses me off too. It's a 3" diameter 7" barrel canon that is somewhere around 125dB. :( Fcuking annoying.

OK, I like rice cars for goofing around with, and I ice race them. On the other hand, nothing says I'm a little insecure, like a 100+ Db fart can on the back of a car. Gee everyone, lookitmego, WHIIZZZZZ.... AAGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Anyway, I run Geo Metros. Go Ahead, laugh your a$$ off. 1 liter of screaming death. or something like that.

I have taken the stock exhaust, which is rather restrictive, and put it in the only place fitting. the trash. I then built a flange to mate up to the stock ( polished ) exhaust manifold, and ran a 2" pipe front to back, then down to 1.75" @ the muffler for two reasons. 1 A little backpressure, and 2, it allows me to use a stock style muffler that fits a something. Bought at a Canadian Tire Garage Sale for $3. Worthwhile investment.

Punchline is this. It allows the engine to breathe a bit better than stock, and at idle, its reasonable. Under hard throttle, it barks. It does not whiz, or burp, or split eardrums, it barks a bit, and thats all. not really objectionable. So, better breathing helps, and without annoying the other folks on the road, or killing your own eardrums.

Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

I have a frend who recieved a civic with all kinds of rice on it for free. Cat trap, 7spoke high performance 14" rims and all the "go-go" stickers you can scare a 2JZ with. All rice and no go. Neways he couldnt handle the cat trap. Not even a week later I saw it sittin in a junkyard with all it's guts ripped out. I recognized it by the performance stickers on it. I took a razor blade, took them off and put them on my buddys skyline with some duct tape. That's what, ten hp right there right?(kiddin):lol:

if you want to change the sound, stick a nice long screwdriver in there, hammer it around a little, make some holes here and there.

Or you could jsut put a potato in the pipe.
