I recently purchased the Graphite Black Exhaust Wrap from http://www.speedzone24-7.com/ and wanted to know if anyone else has put wrap on their header and exhaust. And if so did you notice any difference.

I will be putting the left over wrap around my intercooler piping also.

I used header wrap on some custom exhaust I made for a truck. I didn't like it since it fell to crap in a few months. I did notice lower temps and a modest power gain. I can't give you hp stats or torque advantages, but my ass said there was more power under the hood. The stuff I bought got filthy real quick and looked like a homeless persons leg in a cast.

The wrap works very well on turbo engines as it keeps alot of heat out'o' the engine bay, it also increases the velocity of gas out the turbo.

The higher gas speed will allow the turbo to spool slightly faster.

Make sure you get some exhaust paint to paint the tape with, this will add a layer to stop fraying and also seal up small gaps between the tape that allow moisture in. On that note ensure that you have a stainless dump pipe, mild steel will corrode and crack very soon.

The ceramic coat is worth doing over the tape if you can find someone who does the aluminium/ceramic powder coating.

With the intercooler pipes, if you run out of tape just buy foam insulation for steam pipes from a hardware or plumbing supplier, in Australia its purchased in lengths of 1M or so and fits over the pipe. Comes in various diameters and costs very little $20-30 a length. :D
