97 Sentra GXE won't start

My 97 sentra DOES NOT START!!! I turn on the ignition and nothing starts. A friend helped me start it yesterday by hitting the starter w/a wrench. But today it won't start no matter what. I think its the starter, does anybody else have any other suggestions? Any help would be good at this point!!! Help!!!!!

By the way....all the lights turn on..so I know its not the battery.

ok, if they hit the starter and it worked once, for sure is the starter.

Rolll it down a hill in gear with the clutch in. Once you get up to a decent speed drop the clutch and hit the gas, then go buy a starter.
