Hey, i just ordered the american thunder cat back system for my 99 SVT Cobra along with BBK underdrive and alternator pulley.. I was wondering what kinda of power gains you guys have dyno'd.. I seen the bassani X pipe free up 20whp on a mach 1 so uther than a sweet sound what can i expect? I went with the flowmaster because they are great and cheap.. I would had went with bassani. but 699 is too much right now... Stock my car dyno'd 279 rwhp with these two mods what will i be up to?
Also are there any benefits in welding the exhaust system or are clamps good enough? are there fitment issues if i don't? I just can't wait to hear my baby rumble my balls off!!!

Around 10-15RWHP for both.... The Bassani X-pipe gets good results cause of the change to hiflo cats and less of them or maybe it was a catless xpipe you saw... that makes a bigger difference than the cat-back cause the stock cats are the bigger exhuast flo restrictor.

sweet, I really want a lot more power, but the main reason i bought the cat back first was to make it louder.. It's to quiet stock... I wanna wait on the X pipe cause they will have to be either shorter or longer depending on what type of header i wanna go with.. Right now i'm looking into a BBK long tubed header so i would have to get a shorter X pipe to fit... By the summer i will deffinatly have full exhaust and most likley many other mods.. I wanna see what i can get out of her with just bolt ons before i turn to the procharger.. My goal are 12's without going forced induction.. I think thats totally doable.

I'd say about 290-295rwhp to the ground after the pulleys and exhaust. I'd also recommend getting a Timing Adjuster from Steeda and do that while you do the pulleys, too. That's good for a few more horsies.

Pretty good choice of headers. But to be honest, the headers aren't nearly as limiting of a factor on the 4.6's as it is on the 5.0's.
My goal are 12's without going forced induction.. I think thats totally doable.
Dude, to be honest.....with slicks, the gears you have and basically what you've just purchased and ALOT of agressive driving.....12's should be attainable! BUT you'd have to drive the PISS out of it.
