Yes. Unless you go to a shyte Greedy FMIC, its runs to the stock IC pipe locations giving you 20 feet of IC piping ;) Chances are though you can sell those pipes later, so if the FMIC upgrade is a long way off it should still be worth doing a UICP.

A pipe is a pipe, as long as it fits. I'm not familiar with either of those pipes personaly, though I remember not liking the greedy pipes on a friends car. I'm more familar with dejon tool (http://www.dejontool.com/DSM-2g%20SIC.htm) and other DSM specific vendors pipes.

Most likely, yes. You can have a shop near you make you some FMIC piping cheaper than a kit anyway.

Check out the core Joe G used on the posr site. Ebay special, like 300-400 bucks. He used some mandrel bends from JC whitney and some couplers to make an inexpensive set of pipes thats just as functional as the pipes that would come in a "kit." If you like fabricating, then you will be able to route things the way YOU want it, not the way the vendor wants it. I like doing things my way, even if it is a bit more work. A shop that can MANDREL bend pipes can do this for you, and shouldnt cost much more than 100 bucks or so.

What boost level & HP is a stock intercooler good for anyway.

The stock SMIC will heat soak after running hard on a 16g. Anything bigger than a 14g I'd be getting a FMIC soon.

ii just got off the phone with a local machine rental center where i can rent a 2' pipe bender for $80 a day, so i called a muffler shop here in town, to see about some 2.5' pipe to fabricate my intercooler setup, he told me that i'll need a mandrell bent pipe, thats the only bend that will work for what i want to do. he gave me the insite that the machine is about a million dollars only 2 places in Washington state have one. is this guy smokin crack? how am i suppose to get a intercooler pipe kit fabricated if i have to call 300 miles away to have pipes bent on a million dollar mechine. help me out here please.

I think it may be cheaper to let the muffler shop do the whole thing. I dont think it will be more than $80.

I already answered your question above ;) You can get 45s, 90s, 180s, etc for about 15-20 bucks each. No need to bend your own. If you have a shop that can mandrel bend locally, you can get a little more creative. But many many people jsut buy those bends and get some couplers.

Find a new muffler shop. I know that some muffler shop defiantly do. If there are none in your area, I guess your out of luck :disappoin
