Ecu

Hi All,

I have a 1992 Mitsubishi Mirage which stopped suddenly on the road. I had a mechanic do

diagnostics on it and it was concluded that the ECU (Engine Computer) has gone bad. Can you

guys please tell me where I can find it in my car and how do I replace that. Do I need any special tools? Thanks in advance for your help.

whats up man? the ecu on my mirage is on the pass side, on the side wall behind glove box. it helps a lot to take the GB off to get to it, there are harnesses to unplug and i think theres only nuts holdin it on. hope that helps

I have a 94 Mirage that died due to ECU failure...I ve been told that these ECU aren't very reliable. Is it worth replacing it. Do they make a more reliable one that I can buy and how much.

I have a 93 Mitsu mirage and i found my ECU mounted under the middle console behind the shifter. The passenger side is the most likely but it doesnt have to be there.

you can always try to aquire a 97 mirage ECU. for some reason they are more coveted than the rest. not sure if it will work on a pre 96 though. check www.mirageforums.net to see if those guys are selling it or know.
