a 1995 c15 2wd 5.7L/ tbi
Mostly in the morning when it's cold, but not always, the warning buzzer goes off for no apparent reason, the gages all work OK and there are no dumy lights lighted when it happens. It just comes on and stays on for as much as fifteen minutes, most time less than that. then it just goes off by itself.
OK, so it sounds like an electrical short somewhere, but where? Theres a lot of wire in them thar vehicles?
Any other ideas - like where to start looking?

You could just remove the buzzer, but that wouldn't really solve the problem, only make it less annoying.

I absolutely certain that bit of advice would cause a constantly dead battery....
since my wife drives it most of the time...

hahaha that will happen = )
But that would be an almost impossible task to locate that guy. My door switch (the one that turns the dome light on when the door is open and such) is very unreliable sometimes. It has a tendency to think the door is shut when it is in fact open and vice versa. If i had my buzzer still in i am sure it would have similar symptoms as yours. My dome light bulb is blown so i never really notice it (unless it is dark and my feet are lit up under the dash). Maybe check the switch? Otherwise I would not want to be the one that had to track the problem down!!
