CRX ZC vs Integra LS

Would a CRX with a DOHC ZC swap take a bone stock Integra LS with B18B engine? I plan to get a CRX in a couple of months and already my friend is talking shit. Which would win?

In my opinion the CRX would due to the weight of the car, but I'm not sure.

Yeah the CRX IMO could win but depending on how good of a driver and the conditions there is too much to tell.

it would probably be a real close race!...You are right that there will be a weight difrrence but the LS power would probably make up for it. But like I said it's anybosy's race. It also depends alot on the "DRIVER!!!!" if you dont know how to drive you anint going to win!.

I dusted a kid with an LS with I/E when I had my ZC.. Tegs are pigs.

yea, you should take the teg, they are way too heavy and the ls tranny isn't very good.

Ah, they're not heavy.. Sorry, but the GSR wasn't trying or wasn't really a GSR. (refer to other thread about VTEC Camaro)

Yeah man, crusing down 78 with my buddy Justin, who just rebuilt his b18a in his 91(i think) teg. And he ended up pulling up along side of me and I was able to hang with him with my d16a6, but it was in my 89 hatch) with i/e. I think a healthy ZC would walk a stock teg.

I forgot to add that it's an automatic Integra...

i know what a gsr looks like.and it was a race at a stop.you can hear a vtec kick in right away.i took him until i got to third.then he pulled.gsr arnt that quick.a built one yes.i had a si trans tho.that helped and other bullshit bolt ons.

2700 pounds is kinda heavy in my book.

i used to have a white 91 ls...nick named it the spotless cow. ask melt. took him for a spin. he's like "okay, now step on it!"....i'm looking at him like :uhoh: "told ya"

i can tell you right now my 89 si hatch with the sohc vtec spanked it while yawning. the sohc vtec and zc have about the same hp (give or take a couple of hp).

now if you come back and say you got left behind...we're gonna tell you to get a better clutch and make use of it :smokin:

Relative to most Honda's (especially CRX's), 2700 lbs is heavy. Compared to most other manufacturer's, however, 2700 is a bit below average.

with a zc, you already have more HP than the ls integra from 90-93. They only have 130 HP. the zc is 135. Given that the teg is auto means you subtract about 20% of its HP to figure out how much is lost thru the drivetrain. So, the teg is close to 105 HP as an auto. Also, the ls tranny has alot longer gears compared to like an si tranny. the crx is the lightest honda ever and it has the teg by about 700 lbs. I'd say you'd have about 4-5 car lengths on him coming out of first gear!

Ten hp can't make up for an extra 700 pounds. Every 100 lbs equals (roughly) 0.1 seconds in the quarter. The extra ten hp for the Integra can't make up for a weight-induced advantage of 0.7 seconds for the rex. This is assuming that both drivers are equal, of course.

sorry about that, ur right i jus got the yrs wrong. the 90-91 tegs have 130 and the 92-93 tegs have 140. But, the zc's came w/ different HP ratings. It depends on what yr it's coming from. They came in either 129 HP or 137 HP. But it's harder to find the 137 HP ZC motors. Is there a way to tell? Here...taken from Hondaswap:
