I have a 93 cavalier. The turns signals started flashing fast, then stopped working alltogether. I changed all light bulbs, still won't work. I changed the flasher, still won't work. The emergency flashers do work. This would lead me to believe its a relay switch problem. Anyone know how to tear the steering console cover apart so I can replace the relay switch? I tried taking it apart, but it started breaking. So to avoid the wrath of my wife, I stopped & decided to ask for help. So, help!!!

I also have a red 93 chevy cavalier and it still is running strong. Also, I am having almost the exact same problem but it is the head lights that wont stay on and the high beams only work. I also checked the fuses and the light bulbs and found nothing wrong with that also. Then I found out that it was the combonation switch. But all my turning signals work. So maybe we can help each other because we have the same cars.

you access the turn signal switch assembly by removing the steering wheel and lock plate assembly. both require special tools that you should be able to borrow from autozone( you pay a deposit and get it back when you return the tool undamaged) but are easy todo. Get yourself a haynes manual, and it will walk you through the proceedure.
