Hi everyone!! I just found this forum and I'm impressed!! I'm a 51 year old hot rodding Arkie' that loves GMC trucks, Vettes and good looking women!! (Not necessarily in that order) I started out by owning my first musclecar a 1967 Chevelle SS 396 my senior year of high school on 1970. Since that point I have owned over 60 different musclecars some stock, some modified, some show, and all go! My present rides are a 2001 Corvette coupe, Speedway white and a 2001 GMC Sierra also white. Both are slightly modified and I love them both for different reasons. I just retired last year after working for the railroad for over 32 years and I am having more fun than when I was 18!!! I will be here to help anyone I can with my limited knowledge of newer cars/trucks and could be of some real help for some member that owns 60's - 70's musclecars.
Drive Them Like You Stole Them!!!

I'm 62 years old. I now live in North Dallas. In my teens I was a regular at the drag strip with a 34 Plymoth Coupe/318 C.I. C-Gas rod. In my 20s and 30s, I built cars and raced on ovals in Wisconsin. Several of the guys I raced against went on to NASCAR. I had a terrific day job that paid to well to give it up. So I stuck to racing nights and weekends. I moved to Ohio in 1975 and the demands of the job forced me to give up racing. I could never get the "Need for Speed" :naughty: :naughty: out of my system and have bought cars like Corvettes and a Ferrari. My current daily ride is a 1991 GMC Syclone, which was the fastest production truck on the planet until the Ford Lightning and the new Dodge Viper Powered Truck. I have just finished a complete frame off, ground up restoration, of my 74 Corvette with all new performance suspension, ZZ4 crate motor (385hp), B&M Street/Strip Tranny, and all the usual high performance parts such as MSD ignition, Griffen Alum Radiator, Dual Spal Fans, Hooker Headers, and Dynomax mufflers. I'm currently looking for a place to Dyno Tune and a paint and Body shop in the Dallas area.

Hi Marion,
I know about the Syclones I had a buddy that owned one and did in fact trade it in on a Viper! Both VERY FAST rides!! My son and daughter in law lives in Rowlett, Texas and we were just up (down?) there last weekend. I will see if he knows of any good shops in the Dallas area. I know for a fact that one of the better Corvette shops is located in Rowlett, Corvette Corner. You will have one awesome ride when you get finished. We took part last summer in the 50th. anniversary Corvette caravan and had a blast. Just imagine over 5000 Vettes all in a row going down the highway!! Old ones, new ones, stock ones and highly modified ones. You would have loved it. I would love to check out your truck and Vette the next time we visit Texas.
