I have a 97 Cavelier. 3 years ago I had the front brakes and rotars replaced. Now all of a sudden its making a squeeling noise that sounds like its coming from the drivers side front brakes. It only makes the noise when I'm driving straight or turning left. When I'm turning right or when when braking, the sound stops. I'm afraid I need yet another brake job, but my boyfriend thinks some bearing (or something) just needs to be oiled.
Any thoughts?

depending on how many miles you drive you may need the brakes done. Most shops have a free car check, see if you can find on and have them look over the car. though the squealing in one direction and not another bothers me, more likely you have a dragging pad....

When you changed the pads & rotors, what did the pads look like were they evenly worn? If they were not then you might need to replace the Calipers, or relace the hardware on the calipers
