Hi,
I have a 1994 1600 Primera (UK) which I've had from new. Over the past 6 months it's developed a very annoying starting problem.
When I turn the ignition key, the starter whizzes around without engaging the flywheel. It's getting progressively worse, and is now needing sometimes 10 to 15 attempts before it starts.
I assumed that it was a problem with the starter motor so I replaced that.... no luck, since then I've replaced the flywheel and battery and this hasn't fixed it.
All earths are sound and my voltmeter shows 12V to the solenoid spade connector when the ignition is turned. I've tried a jump lead from the battery +ve to the starter motor.
It's driving me nuts, do you have any suggestions and thanks for any help, I've wasted so much time on this.
Cheers Mark
