93 Escort Manual Transmission

I have 1.9L Ford Escort LX, how do I flush the transmission and add new fluid? I can't seem to locate the drain valve nor the filler plug. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

There is no drain plug. Remove the speedo cable and sensor from the top of the tranny and use a pump to start a siphon and drain the fluid, and add it through here too. The gears on the speed sensor serve as your dipstick to show you proper fluid level.

Dear war, The tranny has a drain..23mm nut. As you crawl from the front look at the bottom of the tranny on the drivers side, just ahead of the axels. I figure you already changed but just in case.. chilton's or Haynes has instructions. I just changed t fluid last week ATF !! no less. good luck, David
