96 tacoma cd player

looking to replace my oem radio/tape with a oem cd/radio/tape for a 96 tacoma. does anybody know which years would fit my 96 tacoma. I would like to find a oem cd player don't want a aftermarket one.

are you serious? You would have to remove the little tray underneath the radio and put in the double din size radio. I took mine out of my 2000 tacoma and may put it in a 96 camary. I wonder if it will work? The harnesses are all the same I think. But the brakets that hold in the unit are different. It would probably cost alot to get a OEM Radio/tape/CD from the dealer, and the the brackets. Probably around $350.00 when you could get an after market one for half the price and sound better especially with a speaker upgrade. But you obviously don't want that. But I am seriously thinking of doing sort of the same thing. The 96 cammary has the same radio as the 96 tacoma. I put an aftermarket unit in my tacoma.
