i recently bought a 96 talon and the abs light was on when i bought it. i figured no big deal since i got the car at a good price. i can't find any problems with the brakes and have even broken down and taken it to a shop to have the brakes looked at and still no problems with the brakes. cleaned up the sensors and now the light comes and goes but doesn't stay away. how do i make it go away since there isn't a problem with the abs? :banghead:

you might try resetting the ECU... all you need to do is disconnect the battery grond for a few min. all i can think of at the present time

its sounds like you could have a broken wire or a bad ground the ground is easy to check get a voltmeter and measure the resistance between the body of the sensor and a metal part of the car. the lower the resistance the better. if you have a broken wire thats gonna be a pain in the butt to find
or you could always take out the abs light bulb
