slow to get up to speed

hi just purchased my 93 rodeo, it was making this loud ticking noise from the timing belt cover.well i took it off and the tensioner is jumping like crazychanged that but now it wont go over 55 mph what may be causing this problem????

Just Wanna Ask Did You Re-align The Timing Marks To Make Sure They Were In The Right Position A Couple Teeth Off Will Cause You Power Loss

all 4 marks were lined up I changed the spark plugs to a truck plug it picked up a little speed but still not like it was. could it be the coil pack causing this problem???
