water pump

OK, so while my car is in the body shop to get some new body parts and to get it repainted, the timeing belt fell off. It will be towed to another garage for the timing belt. I am doing the tensioner and the water pump at the same time. I am also planning on running a turbo on my 2g gs in the near future. My question is, would it be a bad idea to use a water pump geared towards turbos now while my car is still n/a? I would rather not have to go back in there in the future.

Any advice?
