I need 2 new transmission mounts. I know there is four of them, and I nees the two that are the most expensive. This is for a 95 SC 3.8. They are over 800$ from GM. i don't want to pay that much for a couple pieces of rubber. Anyone that knows of a cheap place to buy them or any information regarding this would be great!! I appreciate all the help i can receive. Thanks Again.
By the way, the two that need replacing are cracked down the middle of the rubber. The steel is good, and the other two mounts are fine.

Is it a noticable problem? Or are you trying to prevent a problem?

I would run it until I started experiencing problems.

Well, I am installing a new tranny as we speak, it's at a shop right now. They pulled the tranny out, and there is two mounts that are cracked. Now of course they tell me that it's imperative that i purchase these two mounts in order to operate the car. I figured that's a load because the mounts are there to only diminish vibration and double as engine mounts. Now being a transaxle, having two of the four mounts intact would suffice, not forever, but for a little while. I am looking for two used mounts, or the whole set. It's tough to find here, in Alberta, Canada. I am hoping to get a contact in the U.S where I can find some used ones, because there are none in Canada. Again, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

there are 4 mounts, 1 on the front of the engine, 1 down by the bottom of the radiator, 1 by the steering rack and 1 large solid mount behind the drivers side front wheel, the mounts by the rack and radiator are just rubber inserts that slip right out of the steel box there in and could be made from some solid rubber blocks yourself, an ez way to fix the mounts is to fill the holes in them with urathane, i filled all of my mounts with urathane as a performance up grade, you can get it at lowes in a caulking like tube for a few $'s, 800 bucks is insane, hell the trans go for less than that, try some junk yards, i would just fill them with urathaine
