It was 55 and not a cloud in the sky yesterday, and it's 30 and snowing. It really had to fucking snow today!!! I'm coming back from school and I'm 3 minutes from my house. I'm coming up to a turn and slowing down. I'm doing about 30 and braking normally and I'm getting ready to drop to 3rd gear. That split second when my clutch is in and I'm downshifting i'm in neutral. The roads are wet. What happens when the roads are wet, you're car is RWD and you're in neutral AND you're turning? Yeah. You spin. So I spin, normally this is a "weeeee" kind of feeling. No. Not when you hop a curb and through utterly SHIT luck your ass slams dead center into a fucking pole. No pole for 100 feet in either direction. And I have to hit this fucking spot dead center. :banghead:

Oh yeah and I think the suspension is a bit fucked up because I hopped so hard. It doesn't help that I'm broke as shit and I got my final $500 school payment in a few days...

Right now the snow has turned to rain leaving about a half an inch on the grass and slush on the roads in South Jersey, the drive home from school took a little bit longer.

However, i have work tonight, 6-10
This might not bother my drive there, but I am a gas attendant OUTSIDE!!! Thats not the worst of it, since I come in halfway through the shift, my job will be to salt and shovel the parking lot
Damn this sucks

Ive had some close calls in the snow. Obvious as it sounds you just have to take every corner as slowly as possible. What would you rather:
1) get home 5 minutes later
2) wrap your car around a pole

thought so...

This corner is typical of any corner i've taken, wet or dry. I've taken corners faster in slush and rear skipped out a bit but it gives you warning. This corner had me utterly baffled as there was no warning. The rear just spun out so fast I didn't even hit the brakes I was so perplexed. Maybe I hit an oil slick I have no idea.

That sucks man. I hate it when shit happens. But, unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it.

Hey IntegraBoy, where in NC are you moving to?

Talk about crazy weather.Try Indiana. It was 70 something yesterday,it's going to be 30 something tonight!!!!Sometimes during winter, almost no snow.Other times,5-8 inches. I've had one wreck in serious snow.I made all the way to my neighborhood, just to slide down a steep hill.Only to do 3600.00 dollars in damage to my car.I only owed 3900.00 on it.But, they fixed it anyway!!!
