overhead DVD/video player for sequoia

I've seen some discussion about dvd/video for the sequoia. I have a 2wd, no sunroof SR5 and would like to install one. Are there units that fit into the last opening of the overhead console? Are the ones that are being installed aftermarket fitting in there or behind that overhead console? Any suggestions of ones that you have found to work would be greatly appreciated. Also, is the wiring harness there for it already?

I don't think there is one that fit in the last opening of the O/H console. If you install one right behind the O/H console that is too close to the second row. The best is to cut at least one last sunglass holder.

I did install 10.4" O/H and it is in the perfect location that all persons seat on the second and third rows can view clearly. If you want to see my, please leave me your email. I will send you pictures. You can view my unit in the website from my previous post in this forum. For the wiring, it come with the system, However you need to find the HOT wire (12volts) and ACCESSORY wire to make the system function. That is easy!

I have a Toyota Sequoia 2002 with the moon roof so it has the big ugly console on the top, with a hunderd sunglasses holder.

If anyone of you has been able to cut out the console and put and overhead LCD screen or a DVD combo there, I'd really really appreciate if you can send me some pictures of it. please mail then to SaadKhan9@hotmail.com.

I have this 10.4" DVD Combo that I want installed, but no one seems to be willing to cut the console and they've already put the support bracket behind the console which is too close to the second row, any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

The TOY without sunroof should have a long overhead console like mine. It does have at least 6 sunglass holders. I cut off 2 and installed 10.4 inches monitor and it is easy and perfect location for the O/H.
If your come with the sunroof then you don't have to cut but you can install right on the edge of the sunroof. This is little bit close to the second row and you need the bracket to hold up the O/H away from the sunroof path. Need to confirm, Your come with the sunroof or without sunroof?

I know that there are complete console replacements with the dvd/systems integreated for other suvs. I wonder if they have finally made one for the sequoia?

Audiovox makes a really nice looking console unit for the 2004 Sequoia. It is color keyed for the exact interior. I had one installed @ Circuit City with the Audiovox 10.4 all-in-one unit (On Sale Now). I am very happy with the unit and the installation they did. By the way, they had to cut the multiple-sunglass-console to do it. Thanks to all who posted and sent me pictures of their installs!!!!!!!

My is without sunroof. Please sent me some pictures of the modification you made to install the dvd system?
