Expedition GOing haywire?

Okay it all started a few days ago, the doors locked on thier own, and then the windshield wipers went off on thier own, and then now, when you turn off the car and take the key out, the air conditioner remains on. Also when I drive, i will get 5 audible beeps, stop, 5 audible beeps, stop, 5 audible beeps. what is it trying to tell me! is my expy possessed?

If your battery isn't new it could be telling you that it's going to die.
Other than that, it might be possessed... :evillol:

Have your trans range sesor tested or replace it with a known good sensor. The PCM gets inputs from different sensors through that. If there is a fault in it the result is going to be incorrect inputs and incorrect outputs to other sensors and motors. B.S. in B.S out. :sunglasse

I am involved in a case where an expedition had the same problems you are describing and then caught on fire burning down an airplane hangar. I would love to talk to you about it.

had a similar problem but mor electrical things were going wacky. door locks, lights, displays, radio. also this would only happen in drive and reverse , everything worked fine in park and neutral. took it to several places and spent thousands to figure it out. turned out water was getting in the fusebox and wasn't able to get out. drilled a hole in the box and haven't had any problems since except the digital mileage display doesn't always show.

my expedtion does the same thing when i rains water gets in the fuse box messes up windows wipers and even gauges, what fuse box are you talking about the one under the hood or under the dash

i believe it was the fuse under the dash. did you having any other problems after that?

yes now my wipers dont work and my windows wont go down there is a leak there somewhere and i cant figure out where it is comming from any suggestions

i don't know where the leak was coming from either. what we finally did though was drill a hole in the bottom of the fuse box so that the water drains out which stopped the problems from happening.

i did also replace the fuse panel and gem module first but still had the problem until we put the hole in the fuse box...there is another thread about this and someone said to reinstall the windshield for leaks. i didn't do that but it might be worth checking for you.

Your windshield is the source of the leak. I removed the interior driver side grab handle and underlying molding to watch the water trickle down the post. The BEST way to fix it is to replace the urethane securing the glass. The bad thing is it is almost guaranteed to break the glass upon removal. I chose to remove the weather stripping surrounding the sides and top of the existing windshield to apply a fair amount of urethane around the glass (too cheap to replace the glass). I replaced the weather stripping before the glue set. My leak was where the roof "gutter" on the driver side roof met the glass. After waiting 24 hours, I ran a full open garden hose on the top of the windshield to verify the leak was fixed. So far so good. Cost me under $10 for the glue and one day of not driving the car. Probably saved me more than $10 in gas by not driving it :)

If you have the glass replaced, make sure the technician is aware of the issue and applies sufficient glue to solve your leak.

my expidition is doing the ame things described here can anyone tell me which fusebox and where to drill the hole i will be having me windsheild replaced in the next day or so thanks in advance for any help

Up high, behind the gauge cluster. I would not recommend drilling a hole in the box if you are fixing the root cause.
