Should I get a GSX

I own a 95 GST that I have done some modding on and am very pleased with the performance. I am going to be going to the track this summer, so my question is do you guys think it would be better for me to sell my gst and buy a gsx for racing or will the gst be good enough. What kind of times can I expect out of my gst, can I be running 13s or possibly even high 12s, if so with what kind of mods. Right now I am running a 14b turbo with an mbc, whalbro 255, and an obx adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Right now I am redoing the exhaust, putting a CAI on, and hopefully soon getting a DSMlink. What other stuff should I do to be able to be running time like I said? Thanks for any input.

turbo's don't have cai's. but a better intake like the fipk will help with spooling. with a gs-t, you might be in the high 13's if you're a good driver.. there's really no way to say. all you can do is try. Good luck at the track... and maybe look into gettin the gsx if you want better launches

are you saying with the mods I have listed I can get into the high 13s or are you saying that the best I will probably see out of a gst will be high 13s.

I have 96GSX and i love it! I put a 6 bolt in her and some minor upgrades, and wow is it quick. AWD gives you so much more traction, and some edge off the line, I hear of people selling thier GS-t for the GSX all the time.

Yea like I said I was thinking about selling my gst to get a gsx but I really like my gst and have put a lot of time and money into it already, but I was thinking if I could get some good times out of it I might as well just keep it.

with those mods you'll be able to get high 13's probably, and the more you do and the better you get you'll be able to get better times. but you'll always get better times in the 1/4 with a gsx because of the better jump off the line. If you know of a gsx you can buy or someone who will buy your gs-t.. then it might be worth it.

do u think that with more mods i will be able to get my gst into the 12s

most definitely. as long as you have upgraded everything like your BOV, intercooler, intake and exhaust you can jump up the turbo... which will definitely help with times. but of course this costs more money. I've seen gs-t's run high 11's.... so it's def doable. just practice and tune and you'll be good

well i own a gs-t and i prefer the challenge of having an ff to an awd. but its all in what u like and not like. it was hell to find my gst and although i wanted my gsx my gst is great. i plan on a 20g turbo upgrade soon. so its all up too u. GO GST! :-d

so what kind of stuff should I be doing to be running 12s? What size turbo would be best?
