So, I'm out on a trainign ride today, as I'm a cyclist, and I'm 6 to 8km's from home, I feel something light on the back of my jersey, then it stings me. Freaking bee, stung me right in the middle of the back, I knew it was a bee after I stopped and pulled its stinger out of my back. So I stop for a while and let the pain subside, then ride off. Then 1km away, I stop again as the pain is back. This happens every km on the way home, I get back, shower, and that was over 3 hours ago, I now feel like absolute shit, cold sweats etc, head ache, bleah. This sucks.

that does suck. in a weird way consider yourself lucky. i am allergic to bees; therefore, i can die if i get stung just a few times.

that sounds way severe for just a bee sting, are you sure you are not alergic to their venom?
PS. I belive you can use salt on the sting to neutralise some of the venom.

Yeah I might go to medical and get an allergy test done. The sting was still aggravating me 5 days later.

Gavin,
I always found that when I got stung when out training (ex-MTB racer) the stings had a lot worse reaction with me than normal.
I think the accelerated heart rate combined with the fact that your pores are open to allow sweating combines to create a worse reaction to the sting.
I have some scars from bee stings I received on training rides!
