I have a 97 F-350 5 speed powerstroke, with a broken dual mass flywheel, I have the option to go with the standard dual mass or an after market single or standard fly wheel?

Has anyone tried this out?
What are the pros and conn’s?
Which one is better?

Thank you for any info!

Have replaced a few with standard flywheels. You can get some different noises and vibrations but not too bad. Most people don't even notice the difference. With the dual mass you can change bolts in the pressure plate to remove vibration and moaning noises. The dual mass also provides shock-load protection for the drivetrain. If you want to maintain "luxury car" feel, then stay with dual mass. Good luck

I haven't heard of any paticular failures or torque complaints from a standard flywheel setup. You'll be safe. Just different noises that you might not be used to.
