They wouldn't let me do ANY of the fields I requested because my score was "too high" or the field was full... so I got put in Command and Control... I'm in communications...

Semper Fi, jarhead, and congrats. But matada is right, basic training must be completed before you can call yourself a marine. My stepdad was a marine from '67-'70...yea, he fought in Nam. Doesn't ever talk about his experiences there, but he speaks very highly of boot camp. Lets just say he said it was "fun." My cabinet making teacher was also a marine...he says it was the best 8 years of his life. Anyway, good luck.

WOAH! The recruiter has lied to you. Go back and tell them you want what you want or you will join the Army. They have quotas to fill you see, and lieing is not below them.

My buddy was in JROTC in H.S. for the marines and his DI or whatever, was doing an inspection of their wall lockers and found like 100 pages of 'smut' as the DI called it and he made the guy eat every page of it. Prolly bs but its good for entertainment :lol2:
