2003 with problems...HELP

Just put in an iceman cai...works great. I had a universal exhaust on but it sounded horrible without the intake. Now that I got the cai I put the universal back on and it sounds bad. Instead of the typical import smooth buzz sound I get this sputtering almost like a v8 camaro sound and it should be that way. When I rev the engine to about 4500rpms and let off the throttle the engine has a small rattle sound as it winds down. It just doesn't sound good...any suggestions. Even with just the cai the engine still has the rattle sound and it sounds internal. (I know the muffler isn't the problem because I put 2 different ones on with the same result.) Someone said maybe a piston bearing is off or something, I thought the stock cat converter isn't letting enough air through...not sure. HELP!

have a friend rev your car and you look and listen under the hood before replacing any thing. There may be something loose that needs to be tightend again

Agreed, look around for anything loose. It sounds like something got moved or not quite tightened all the way when you installed the Iceman to me.
Just my .02... L8R,

The sound actually comes from the head...it's gotta be internal like a piston slapping the wall. The intake is on fine...I reved the engine by hand from under the hood and there is no abnormal noise from the intake....it comes from the head area. Nothing is loose, and my mechanic thinks is internal???
