Day two with my new motor....

I spent yesterday, saturday, pulling everything I didn't need off of the B16. Wire harness, plugs, manifold, etc....was getting it ready to clean a bit.

The motor was in GREAT shape! looked new on the back, but the front and bottom had some grease/grime/dirt from 11 years of use :)

I was going to clean it with a degreaser, but found that fruitless. I pulled out the laquer thinnner and went to work. great thing about thinner, is you get it where it's not supposed to be and it evaporates :) so any holes or openings in the motor didn't matter. and then you don't have to rinse it either! It evaprotes :)

Now that it's about done, and looking like brand new, it's time to start on the preventative maintenence..........

lol...so then I took a die grinder and a wire wheel....and polished the block and head...now this thing looks better than new! :)

ohhh! Show us some damn pics!

....and today I removed every single nut and bolt, ran it through the wire wheel and respayed it a nice shade of 'stainless steel' :) I love teasing.....

oh, and now, you know what i'm doing? I'm making lov...errr....eating off the damn thing :) I put on the JDM TYPE R valve cover...just wanted to see what it's going to look like. my wife saw it and said "RED!" and now wants the motor in HER 91 civic! bite me! :)

oh, and now i'm rubbing the block...oh baby, yes yes yes....rubbing, buffing...mmmmmmmm :)

You sound like your shagging your wife over the valve cover...make sure all the stains come off before you start the thing otherwise they'll be stuck on there for good;)
