I am lowering my car and realize I need springs and (struts or shocks) or both? Most packages I have looked at are springs and struts. Do I need shocks?

Struts, shocks, dampers are all about the same thing. Struts/shocks control & absorb energy from springs, they don't actually absorb bumps or road defects, springs do that. Without struts/shocks your springs would continue to bounce up/down from 1 small bump in the road.
Strut is whats on your car, its a damper with a spring perch - installed together spring/strut
Shocks are not found on Honda's, they are dampers mounted seperate from springs.
Call them what you want, most people know what you mean.
