my rx7 is officially shit

i bought my rx7 a few months ago off of eBay (big mistake). Since i first got it the transmission has been acting up. In third gear the car scrapes into the gear... then today, my fifth gear and reverse gave out... i bought the car for 1500 and the engine is still in excellent condition, but i'm only 17 so i can't afford a new tranny. I figure i can probably get some good money out of it because the body is in excellent condition and it has a good engine, but how much do you think i could get? I have always loved rx7s and i hope that one day i can buy another one that isn't a lemon.

Give me your opinion, should i sell this rx7 and get another car... or just fix this on up and pray that it does well.

Get your ass to a junk yard and start looking for transmissions! Dont give up on it because something is wrong with it. You paid $1500 for it and it's a 17 year old car. It's not shitty, it's just mature. Anything you get for that amount of money isn't going to be perfect.

You can also look on some of the other rx-7 forums or ebay. I'm sure you can find one cheap and close to you.

If it doesnt sell, email the guy and tell him you'll go pick it up, or offer him like $100 if he'll meet you halfway. Depending on how close you are to SC.

never sell your rx-7! that would be insane! plus if the body and engine are in good condition what are you complaining about? sounds like a nice car to me :) hehe

I got a tranny out of a local junkyard for under ~$150 (dont remember) its not that expensive.
