cd skips at 3000 rpm

Hi all,

I have a 91 celica gt and it still has the factory cd/tape in it. I am going to be replacing it with an aftermarket cd player. However, it skips every time the motor hits 3000 rpm. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and/or if it will continue to happen with any new stereo I put in it?

If all it is doing is just skipping then just do what your doing.. replace it.. Hard take offs, bumps, hard shifts, andything like that could cause it to skip too if its a bad radio.. If it is still factory then it needs to be replaced.. If after that it still skips then let me know, I specialize in electronic repair..

I put a 10 disk pioneer cd changer and it works great, i need to upgrade my radio tho, its not factory but its not new.
