I have a 98 cavalier, removed the clip, took the door panel off, removed the stock speakers, and my "4x6" PBs don't seem to fit in the door right... I'm pretty clueless as how to put them in... Special part maybe?

are they too thick to fit in the stock location?

The 4x6 won't fit to an EXACT fit. You have to get the other size that looks oblong shape like. It looks more like a football than a circle style speaker. I know b/c I once had a 2000 Cavy with massive stereo shit in it. :evillol:

I forgot to mention...you could go to crutchfield.com and look up your size on that website. Pretty good deals, too. Also..I know you said that you have a 98 cavy, and I had a 2000 cavy...but the speaker sizes didn't change from 98 to 2000. They stayed the same size. :)

4x6's are oblong shaped...they should fit no problem.

I can get one side or the other hooked up, but not one on either side. The speakers are 4x6 and they are oblong shaped, and are like .25 CM too small to fit nice and snug.

Well I was able to get 2 4x6 Pioneers in my 95's front doors. I just screwed them in through the outer metal on the speaker, and through the metal on the door. It worked great, but everytime i rolled the damn window down, the screws would scratch the window......dont use long screws! Also keep in mind that its not enough room for the speaker to "bounce around freely", so they will most likely vibrate on the door. (unless you have a speaker cover and are removing the factory cover). Good luck man....worked out nice for me!!!
