Speedster wheels

Hi I'm new here!

I'm working on my first model - a Tamiya Porsche Speedster - and the wheels are molded in chrome, but the centers are supposed to be body colored. I'm using Tamiya spray lacquer paint, and I was wondering if I should just spray it directly onto the wheels, or if I should prime them first - like the body and other parts. Either way I plan on using liquid mask to mask the chrome rims.
Any ideas? :screwy:

Thanks

If you want the wheels to match the car, then paint them the same way you do the car.

Prime them first!
