85 RX-7 no compretion!

Hi i just got a 85 RX-7 i changed the 3 year old gas that was in the tank,
flushed out the old gas in the gas line, and changed the spark plugs, when i turn it over the rpm reads 1000-2000, but if i put some gas down the carb it ends up hitting the 3200 mark, so some one toled me that the read valve might be stuck or chattered, is that the case? can some one tell me Y when i do a compretion test i get 0

make sure u cover both spark plugs right since there are 2 plugs per rotor, that could do it.

What is a read valve? Rotaries uses a special compression tester that reads compression on each rotor chamber (3 per rotor). If you use a common compression tester you'll be reading the highest compression, but at least you'll be reading a compression amount. Remove the two lower spark plugs and read the compression. Leave the two uppers in. If that RPM reading is while cranking, the tachometer must be shorted.
