How much does it really help?

On a street driven car that is used for strait line racing (be it light to light or on the strip) how much does having a coilover setup really help? If youre only making 100-150 whp, how much does it help with the launch? Would it be easier just to get a nice set of street drag rubber or are coilovers really that helpful for drag?

Wasted money IMO unless you are planning performance handling type driving. Just get some Neuspeed Race springs, or something that's super stuff in the front, and soft at the rear. Also having a large front swaybar, and a little or no rear can help with launch too. The idea is to minimalize as much wheel hop as possible, and keep the fronts with as much contact with the ground as possible.
