Yeah Mark, I bought a new engine, so I want this brand new engine to read to me the correct miles on the car...That being none. So therefore that is why I am wanting to reset it. And that makes it legal to reset. :loser:

Hey now , I was just asking. Still , when they put new engines in around here they dont reset the odometer , might be different where your from. I asked around the shop and they said that the only way really to reset the odometer was to replace the pc.
Your second post and your already calling people losers , should show a lil respect NEWBIE.

Thats what I thought , even if you replace the engine with a new one the vehicle still has the miles on it so resetting is illegal. It was what happened when we replaced the engine with the K car at the farm , brand new engine car got lots of miles still.

When you put a new engine in your car, the odom stays the same. You are supposed to subtract the difference. It is IILEGAL. when you go renew you tags, and the miles don't much up, they will find out.

its illegal, you still have a lot of miles on the tranny and other parts

you can get a sticker that goes near the odometer that says how many miles the new engine had and when it when in, Thats the legal way to do it. Plus its only illegal if you plan on selling it in the future. lol
