engine swap

i just recently bought my 1989 pontiac firebird form a friend, and it has to have the crappiest six-cylinder i have ever sen in my life. so in short, im changing it to an eight-cylinder. but, i an a newbie at workin on cars and would like some advice.

i plan to change the v6 in the car to a v8, and i would just like to know what all is going to be involved with changing the two?!

**note** if it helps any, the v8 ill be dropping has roughly 350-425 ponies, and i plan on making this a street legal drag car. and for now i have a 350 turbo tranny to mate the mill, what else do i need to do or get?
