hey guys, ive hit a dead end, im lookin for a replacement dashpad/panel for my camaro, seeing as mine is shot to shit. all the ones in the junkyard are as bad off as mine, and the only other place ive seen em is ebay, but these things are so prone to cracking i dont want to buy a used one without looking at it first. anyone on here know where you can buy a new one??? like a company like year one or something??

3rd Gen Camaro online says they have "good used ones" for 200 dollars, and they show pictures. I know that a picture might or might not justify 200 dollars but in a recent, rather extensive online search for a dash for my 87 Z28, 3rd gen was all I found. Be advised though that they are not real quick to fill their orders, I ordered/paid over the phone for seatbelt parts a few weeks back, and week after week they swore they "would ship Today" and finally after 3 weeks of that crap I cancelled the order and went aftermarket. I was able to patch my original dash fairly well using "Permatex" Vinyl Dash repair kit, (the one with the iron) you have to be patient, and you will probably singe your hands more then a few times, and in my case I finished by painting the whole dash with vinyl paint to get the match right but it is quite better then before, not show quality but decent.

Don't you work for a dealership. What kind of price are looking at going that direction? And you don't get a dealership discount. Anyway I know that its high cause I ended up paying $161 for that cheap thin plastic das top in my 95. If you can't find one in a junk yard thats half way decent than I would recommend Ebay, but ask alot of questions before bidding.
I lucked out on the dash top for my 82 cause it was beyond repair, but luckily a buddy of mine had bought a 89 IROC in great condition and ended up parking it under some poor guys brand new Z71 he had setting in his front yard. He had the car for 7 days before he killed it driving to fast down a back road that took a hard turn when he didn't.
