This forum rocks! I was reading up on a few things last night and I came across how to remove the resonator from the stock airbox. this afternoon I pulled the bumper to get at it, following instructions others had posted. Got it out of there, and now my car sounds great, and it didn't cost me a thing... :) Took some pics afterwards, too, and thought I'd show y'all.

cheers

Very sweet indeed, dude.
Is that the original paint? amazing that it doesn't appear to be faded in the least. A rare condition with most older civics I see.
Put some CRX blade style rims on that sucker, and lower it a little bit... and you're set as far as looking good goes.

Thanks for the compliments, y'all!

Yeah, it's the orginal paint. it's not perfect, rock chips and all. But it's not faded or oxidized or anything. I think it's been kept in a garage all it's life. I bought it two years ago for a song from the original owner. He was selling it because he had just bought some new Mercedes AMG conversion (don't recall exactly what it was, but DAMN was it fine!). Even tho he had some new $75k car, he was still sad to see his Si go. It's been kept in my garage since. I intended to keep it all stock until I ran across this forum (thanks a lot, people... ;) ). It needs new struts, so I think i'm gonna put some sport springs on it to give it a better stance, but I think that's the only mod i'm gonna do. Everything on it works great (the A/C is amazingly cold, thank god) and I still get about 30mpg. And now, thanks to you guys, it's got a bit more of a growl. I'm also gonna hold onto the parts I removed just in case I wanted to ever put them back on.

And think, just a few months ago, I was looking to sell it and keep my '95 Ex coupe. I then came to my senses. Anyone interested in a '95 Ex coupe? :)

Put some CRX blade style rims on that sucker, and lower it a little bit... and you're set as far as looking good goes.

That's exactly what I want to do. My wife had a '91 CRX Si that had the exact wheels I want on it. I swapped the stock alloys for the wheels off of the '95 Ex. Even tho they aren't alloys, I like the look better than the stock alloys. It will look even better when I lower it.. I hope to put spring and struts on it in the next few months.

Does anyone have those CRX wheels for sale or trade? ;)

cheers

a friend once told me:

the first modification you do will be the start of "it never ends"

i should have listened to him when he told me that 9 yrs ago :grinno:
