95 Jimmy Back Hatch

Would appreciate any help. 95 Jimmy Vortec 4.3L. Back hatch pops open when the ignition is turned off. Also if you close it while the dome light is on it will pop when the dome light goes out (The dome light must be on a timer when the doors are closed). Have taken it to specialist and they can not determine the problem. I believe I have a short somewhere. Thanks.

hi, i have the same problem, by the moment i removed the power accesory fuse, and im trying to get another, in teh meanwhile, you dont have the paroblem and dont have power locks either, if you fix it, please let me know how to do it, i think it could be a problem in the fuse or in de ignition key, thanks and good luck.

REmove the bulb from the rear dome light, causes many problems.
