Folks,
Had my rear brake assembly replaced to include the rotors, calipers, and pads. Since then, those breaks squeal like a "luau pig being stuck on the pit" first thing in the morning. It goes away after a couple of times of stepping on the brakes. However, after warming up, it just squeeks whenever I slow down to stop to a halt. The Brake Shop said it was because the pads are semi-metallic. I figured to go to a brake shop versus the dealership due to outrageous costs.
Do I have the rotors turned if they're glazed? Should I replace the semi-metallic pads with ceramic ones? Otherwise, the new brakes hold like super glue. Any suggestions?

Semi metalic brake pads will always be noisey. The only way to totally eliminate brake noise is to go with ceramics. You can, however, reduce the noise on your pads significantly. Take your brake pads off. Hopefully you know how to do this. If not then find someone to help you or take it to a shop. Then bevell the ends of the pads ( [ ] is your pad, [ and ] are the ends). Just file or sand them down from a straight edge to a slant. That way you dont have a 90 degree angle anymore. It makes an easier transition for the brake pad to aproach the rotor.

Rofren Disc Brake Pads. They will solve all your problems, noise, dust and they brake better than anything.
