ok, I am in the process of swaping my alternator and intake manifodl and all that crap over to my B20, I ended up putting on the LS thermostat housing because it had a fitting the B20 one didnt, and the upper radiator hose mount also got swapped because the LS block had the air bleeder and the B20 didnt and I wanted to have that. now my porblem came when I was swapping this big black box, it goes into a large, maybe 1-1/2" hole and has an O ring to seal it, now from this black box a hose went up to the intake manifold and then through the webbed runners and then made it to the main part of the TB a couple inches past the TB. now on the B20, this hole is nopt on the block, but on the valve cover(not the fiting that routes to the intake, another one) there is a fitting coming off of the cover top and the hose looks like it owuld go to the b20 manifold in about the same place, now I am thinking of just runnign this how to where the one from the black box ends up because it seems like it is just a breather since both hoses come from the internal part of the engine and into the manifold, so as for now until I am told not to I am gonna route that hose to the IM whewre I think it should go, everything else has swapped fine, I am going to go out an laop the valves after I have a bit of lunch, then shoudl be fine for tghe rets of the way. and the problem ended up being the disc wore down SO much that something on the pressure plate was smacking against the spring housings and openign them up, a spring popped aout and got chewed into like 6 peices and also a bit of the metal on the disc broke off. and the pressure plate got all f'd up, luckily the flywheel came out looking good, put a nice straight edge on it and it isnt belled and no gouges.
anyways if I come up wiht more questions I will post them but am I right about this breather, there was 2 hoses form it on the LS block so Ill see where the other one went and see if I find a diffferetn route the hose would go to do the same job.
man I cant wait to get this running, driving it slow for so long is gonna be HARD!
