I have a 91 civic si hatchback and when i start it it idles at 1,500 for about 3 seconds then drops to 1,000... 10 mins passes by and the needle starts to jump from 750-1,500 about 4 times then its jumps beetween 350-750... 2 times then it stalls i need help asap i have new spark plugs new msd performance ignition wires that didnt solve anything ive posted this before but a friend has brought somthing to my attention that there is no muffler on the car at the current time now will that cause a loss of back pressure adn that might be why its stalling beacuse my friend had a jetta and when he had no muffler it did the same thing... so if any of you think u no whats happening or it happend to you please post a reply asap thanx......... Could also be your distributor.

man i drove my crx for 5 months with no mufler and it still ran fine.

nearly every idle problem with them is associated with the idle air control (aka idle speed control) valve, the fast idle screw, or other areas of the intake system being very dirty. theres a whole write up about it somewhere. do a search and you will find out all about it.
just make sure your ignition timing is set and your fuel filter is clean first, cause that eliminates those areas.

also check for vaccum leaks my car had a wondering idle when i had a vaccum leak

could be your tps. mine did something similar so i just bought an edelbrock 65mm t/b because its equipped w/a tps. or you could just buy a new sensor. ive seen em on ebay

Check your distributor Rotor. It could be a little loose. Happened to me. And then it fell off.... -__-
